Godolphin Cottage, East Portlemouth
Godolphin Cottage was granted planning permission for change of use from the village shop with accommodation over to a private house in 1999. The conversion works left the building compromised for use as a dwelling and had damp problems, bedrooms with only borrowed light, small rooms with low ceiling height, and did not take advantage of the views to the North and South.
The works addressed these problems coherently and comprehensively and the property has been remodelled and refurbished throughout. The works were completed in Summer 2014 and the dwelling is now rented as a holiday let.
