The emphasis on the revised proposals is to update the rear kitchen, dining area to the ground floor rear of the house to provide a large open plan space that has a stronger connection to the immediate garden and views beyond through the employment of sliding glazed doors. The proposal seeks to remove the bulky rear porch which obstructs the rear outlook. The garage and music room are to be replaced with a single storey rendered flat roof building to accommodate a store, boot room and office on a similar footprint. The current fabric is poor both in terms of structurally integrity and insulation levels so requires replacement. Planning has been granted and it is anticipated that works will commence in 2022.
